Special Transportation Fund (STF)
MORROW COUNTY SPECIAL TRANSPORTATION FUND ADVISORY COMMITTEE (MC-STF)
ARTICLE II - PURPOSE
This Advisory Committee is established in the interest of transit system users (seniors, disabled, veterans, Hispanic and any other pertinent person groups) in Morrow County. Its purpose is to advise the Morrow County Commissioners/The Loop on matters that pertain to the Special Transportation Fund and all matters regarding the transportation needs of those utilizing the transit system. The Advisory Committee will make recommendations that encourage and promote the accomplishments of those needs that directly affect the welfare of those who desire and/or require such services.
ARTICLE III - ROLES and RESPONSIBILITIES
The Advisory Committee will:
- Advise the Agency regarding opportunities to coordinate STF monies and STF-funded projects with other transportation programs and services to avoid duplication and gaps in service.
- Review the proposed distribution of Formula Program monies and make informed recommendations to the Agency.
- Review Discretionary Grant proposals and make informed recommendations to the Agency.
- Serve as balanced voice to the Agency on behalf of the represented users across Morrow County.
- Serve only in the role of advisor and have no authority and/or decision making powers of which rest with the elected representatives or their designated staff.
- The MC-STF may proved guidance on the further establishment of operating processes and procedures for the refinement of the Morrow County STF Program.
